Cannoli Delight

Black & White Cannoli
Want to impress your guest? Here is an easy way to change up the traditional italian cannoli.

Ingredients:
20 Cannoli Shells (from your favorite italian bakery)
1 pint 35% whipping cream
2 containers of fresh Ricotta
6 table spoons of confectioner's sugar
Nutella
Vanilla Bean

In a mixing bowl whip 1 pint of 35% whipping cream until it peaks add 2 tablespoons of confectioners sugar and mix for a few seconds, remove half the whipped cream and set aside.  Add a few table spoons of icing sugar to taste and the vanilla bean seeds to the remaining half (split the bean lengthwise, using a paring knife. Then scrape the seeds free from both sides of the bean with the edge of the knife).  Fold in one container of ricotta and set aside

Sweet Treats at La Cornetteria

With St-Joseph's day comes St-Joseph's fritters or Zeppole di San Giuseppe. Every italian pastry shop is carrying these delicacies right now. One of my favorite places for these seasonal goodies is La Cornetteria.
This shop has two faces: one specialized in Italian Cornetti and classic italian baked goods made by a Florentine baker and the other consist of delicate mousses, pastries and mouth-watering chocolate made by a chocolatier flown in from Belgium. They serve Lavazza coffee and offer free wifi!
